Speak. Life.

25 years ago. I bought my first book.

It was a gift from my parents.

We spoke chinese mainly. But they encouraged me to love English. We would bus walk drive to libraries, rushing to make it before closing time after dad rushed home to pick me up who in turned rushed through schoolwork to free up the nights.

Oh the nights. The words of cobblestones, winter fires, flying machines which appealed even to my nonscientific brain.. And the beauty of worlds beyond what I could comprehend. They were just. Rides. Journeys. Lives.

Now. As I read a blog post by a very popular language school. Touting the benefits of reading. Of how important language is for 1. Lingusistic. The number of words n immense vocabulary. 2. communication and confidence. 3 concentration n focus 4 creativity 5. Analytical skills… Oh…

That is like teaching u to fall in love..

1. Hold hands

2. Stare into eyes

3. Repeat. Until.. Its part of Yr life. Or maybe some off chance it sparks. Before it burns off any life in you that is..

My list..

Feel much like a frog someday?

Read this…

Feel like you think in colors while the word chats in numbers? Draw thro this book with..

Feel like your traits are out of control

Walk thro a day with zed

That anger. In you. In me? The orge that maybe needs a cup of tea! Learn ways to tame and less. Blame.

Feel like no one understands. Find a rock. A rock changes things. Ahhh you don’t know how to choose one? Rest on this book.

Or maybe a rocks too hard. Find a stick which is not just a stick.

Maybe it’s hard to spot things adults speak of. Maybe sometimes it’s like this…

Or that….

Or this vast world and its places. Oh! The places we can go!

And here’s a book abt people who were not brave nor special but the places they went!

These.

More than getting thro books to get ahead.

This.

Is life my dear children.

Confusing. Vast. Comforting.

I am so glad you love it too.
